Clark, CPA & Associates        Lobby of Our Offices in the Historic Fitzpatrick Building     2009 Mileage Rates for Taxpayers In November., 2008, the standard mileage rates for the use of a car (including vans, pickups, or panel trucks) decreases as follows: 2009 Rate                                      For                                                       2008 Rate $ .550 cents per mile             business miles driven                                $ .585 $  .24 cents per mile              medical/moving                                          $  .27 $ .14 cents per mile               service to a charitable organization.      $  .14 The new rates are lower than the rates for the second half of 2008 that were raised because of the spike in gasoline prices.
